November Side Hustles & Hobbies, Featuring Ted Larkins

This November, we’re spotlighting the side hustle and lifelong passion of Brainbase’s Global Head of Licensing, Ted Larkins! Ted is not just a key member of our Business Development team, but he is also both an author and inspirational speaker. Ted speaks on his Get To principle, which allows us to look at our everyday responsibilities in a different, brighter light.

Ted began writing his book, Get To Be Happy: Stories and Secrets to Loving the Shit Out of Life, in 2016 while commuting four hours every day by train to his office in Hollywood, CA. In his book, Ted unveils the secret to his happiness, and how he was able to turn life’s heavy moments into growth and prosperity. Through this, he formed his Get To principle and how this mindset allows him to look at his everyday life differently.

His favorite part of writing and developing his principle is sharing it with others, letting people know that daily responsibilities should be an empowered choice because you might lose what you take for granted now. Ted speaks on appreciating the little things in life, and changing your mindset will allow you feel happier and more engaged every day. Especially during these challenging times, Ted has one quote that leaves him feeling more motivated to keep pushing and maximizing his potential.
